The Gitanmaax Hall is available for bookings seven days per week. All bookings for the Gitanmaax Hall are to be made exclusively with the Gitanmaax Hall Manager or the Economic Development Department of the Gitanmaax Band Administration in his/her absence.

Bingo rentals include all related bingo equipment and full setup and cleanup. Kitchen, canteen and pulltab rentals are not included as part of the rental.

HALL BOOKINGS

In order to ensure equitable access to the Gitanmaax Hall for all groups, the following policy applies;

1. The Gitanmaax Hall is booked on a first-come, first-serve basis.
2. The bookings will not be cancelled at the request of another group.

Due to the fact that the Gitanmaax Hall is a community hall, there will be times when certain activities will require the cancellation of a booking for another activity. The following is an outline of the types of activities that may result in the cancellation of a regular hall booking;

1. Gitanmaax Band Member – Receiving of deceased to the community
2. Gitanmaax Band Member – Memorial
3. Gitanmaax Band Member – Funeral
4. Gitanmaax Band Member – Feast
5. Gitanmaax Band Member – Wedding

In the event that there is a cancellation of a regular hall booking, the Gitanmaax Hall Manager will contact the individual who booked the hall to advise him/her.

Booking Rates

All hall bookings must be paid in full, no later than one week prior to the scheduled function. The Gitanmaax Hall will not be permitted to be opened for the renter until payment is received by the Gitanmaax Hall Manager.

Payment must be made by cash or by certified cheque to the Gitanmaax Band. Payment can be made directly to the Gitanmaax Hall Manager or the finance department at the Gitanmaax Band Office. A receipt will be issued for all payments.

Any person or organization with an outstanding payment to the Gitanmaax Hall for previous hall rent will not be eligible to book the hall for an event until the outstanding payment has been cleared.

Liability

It is understood that the Gitanmaax Hall will not be held liable for any damages done to the premises or hall equipment during the period of rental by an organization or person. Any damages to the Gitanmaax Hall during the rental period will be deducted from the rental deposit and additional expenses to repair the damages will be billed directly to the renter of the facility.
