POST-SECONDARY SERVICES
The Gitanmaax Education Department is responsible for the provision of services to members who require assistance in the following post-secondary areas:
- Career Counselling
- Assistance with Completing Post-Secondary Applications
- Assistance with Completing Scholarship Applications
- Administration of funds to approved full-time Gitanmaax Post-Secondary students
- Administration of funds to approved part-time Gitanmaax Post-Secondary students for tuition and book payments
- Student support to approved full-time Gitanmaax students funded through the Gitanmaax post-secondary program
Application Checklist:
Each application package must be complete and received by Gitanmaax Band Office Administration by the deadline date.
A complete application package will include:
- Student’s letter of Intent (a brief cover letter)
- Student transcripts, most recent interim highschool/post-secondary transript
- Letter of Acceptance from the Education Institution
- Program Outline which must include description of courses
- Costs: these must be actual costs from the Education Institution
- Post-Secondary application form
