Information Meeting Regarding Proposed 1948 Surrender Specific Claim Settlement has been Rescheduled

Due to the death of a Gitanmaax member and following our Gitxsan cultural practices, the Information Meeting to explain the terms and conditions of the settlement agreement for the Gitanmaax 1948 Surrender Specific Claim and to provide additional information regarding the proposed settlement has been rescheduled.

The Information Meeting for Gitanmaax members has been rescheduled to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the Gitanmaax Hall.

The community meeting on November 23 is for information sharing purposes. It is not the ratification vote. The date for the ratification vote is December 8 to 15 (online) or December 15 (in person), with mail-in voting possible according to procedures set out in the official Notice of Ratification Vote available at the Band Office and www.gitanmaax.com.
