Many Gitanmaax Band Members are facing financial hardship and require assistance during the COVID-19 crisis. The Gitanmaax Band has done it's best to access additional funds to support our members.
In response, the Gitanmaax Band Council has approved a Winter Clothing Allowance in the amount of $200 for each registered Gitanmaax Child, both on and off reserve. This allowance is for children between the ages of newborn up to the age of 18. This is a one-time payment to assist with the rising costs of purchasing winter clothing for children.
Gitanmaax Band office and staff have been inundated with phone calls, e-mails and Facebook messages. We ask for your patience and understanding as they continue to assist and process the applications.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
Health officials widely agree the most important thing you can do to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and other illnesses is to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face. Also maintain social and physical distancing! Masks are mandatory.
