Questions Arising from the November 23, 2022 Information Meeting Regarding
the 1948 Surrender Specific Claim Settlement
Gitanmaax members may have been unable to attend the November 23, 2022 Information Meeting to ask questions about the proposed settlement of the 1948 Surrender Specific Claim and settlement agreement. If Gitanmaax members have questions about either the proposed settlement, they are encouraged to review the information contained in the Information Package first published on Gitanmaax’s website on October 27, distributed to members at Gitanmaax in hard copy format, and available by mail to off reserve members upon request. Members can also find additional information in the (FAQs) document available for download below.
If further questions remain, members are encouraged to contact either the Band’s lawyer or Financial Advisor with questions before December 13, 2022.
